REX KING
NEW WESTERN HERO A search through the entire vast cow country to find a true type of American cowboy ended when Modest Stein, brilliant illustrator and painter of Western subjects, saw a handsome blonde young man seated on a rail fence during the progress of an 'Arizona rodeo. This young man is Rex King, who was persuaded by Stein to come to his studio in Hollywood to pose for a series of Wextern paintings. Stein was so impressed by King’s magnificent physique and general bearing that he took him to the Fox Studios. Here they found he was just the type of manhood they required for Western dramas, and Fox has acaccordingly signed King up to appear in a number of outdoor features on its schedule. King has a contract which covers a number of years, and his debut in the film world will be looked to with the greatest interest. He has been handling horses all his life of twenty-one years, and is entirely unspoilt and natural. The famous Fox physician, Dr. E. A. Skaleatar, says Rex King is the most perfectly formed physical specimen to come under his notice.
