NATURAL EMOTIONS PRODUCED
SHOES TWO SIZES TOO SMALL One may always be assured that motion picture stars will do anything for art’s sake. For instance, take Delores Del Rio, the beautiful Mexican *iirl who came into prominence in “What Price Glory,” and who is now to appear in Fox Films production, “Loves of Carmen.” In one sequence, she plays the role of the lovely cigarette girl. Carmen, who wears a pair of high-heeled shoes for the first time in her life. Naturally, Miss Del Rio is ell acquainted with the latest mc.e in footwear, so naturally she experienced difficulty in portraying the emotions of a girl who is just becoming familiar with modern shoes. To make her reactions normal and natural, Miss Del Rio wore a pair of shoes two sizes too small for her during the filming of these scenes. She came through the scenes with flying colours, gnd “Carmen’s” expressions- on donning the footwear are natural and not simulated.
