MORE PLAYING FIELDS

The need for football and other fields at Takapuna is becoming acute, owing to the fact that when the borough was originally created from a county council riding area no provision was made for parks or recreation areas. The borough has since acquired Takaroto Park and it is now proposed to campaign for funds for completing the layout of the. park for football and cicket fields, and for a children’s playground. It is expected to have part of the park in order for next spring.
