NEW NUMBER-PLATES
OVER 7,000 YET TO BE ISSUED MAY BE USED SATURDAY Motorists will be entitled to put the j new registration numbers on their ! cars on Saturday, said the officer in I charge of registrations this morning. About 8.000 new sets of plates will . first see the light of day during the week-end. Those who have them ! will have the smile on those who have i not. for those who have paid for their new plates have secured them with a minimum of wasted time and inconvenience. The seven thousand or so who will l be trying to get their new plates next J week will have to wait in queues, in ! some cases probably as long as half j an hour.
