In a little over a nfonth Robert Irwin Meachlem and Rose Leah Levy issued 31 valueless cheques, receiving in exchange money and goods of — a total value of £279 9s from shopkeepers in Wellington, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Hawera and Hamilton. They pleaded guilty in the Police Court to-day and were committed for sentence to the Supreme Court.
