NEED OF OKAIHAU
A resolution that the Rodney Power Board be requested to supply particulars of the proposal to harness Omapere Falls, near Okaihau, for hydro-elec-tricity, was passed at the meeting of the Okaihau Chamber of Commerce.
Other resolutions passed were: “'.fiat the Bank, of New Zealand be written to in reference to a branch being opened at Okaihau.” “That the Minister of Public Works be asked that a substantial increased subsidy be placed on the estimates for the Okaihau -Whangaroa Road to cjiable the work to be completed.”
