AUCKLAND CRATERS

PRESERVING VOLCANIE CONES ENGINEERS INTERESTED The question of quarrying on the volcanic cones of the district is to be taken up by the Society of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Architects. Powell said that engineers thought there was a great deal of over-lapping in the quarrying and that a great deal of the damage being done could be stopped. Mr. P. Chambers was appointed to represent the association at a meeting of architects and engineers to be called shortly.
