BRITAIN AND EGYPT POLICY OF NAHAS PASHA / By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Monday. The Cairo correspondent of “The Times” reports that the new Prime Minister received an ovation to-day in the Chamber of Deputies, which was crowded. Nahas declared that his policy was to maintain the complete rights of Egypt and the Sudan without admitting anything that would encroach upon their independence. He said he desired to maintain relations with Britain as friends, but not as master and slave. Foreign guests would enjoy tranquillity in Egypt. The members of the Chamber unanimously adopted a motion of confidence in Nahas Pasha and his new Government. —Times.
