THEFT IN HOTEL
OVERCOAT STOLEN GAOL FOR INTRUDER Described by the police as a wellknown character with a long list of convictions, George Napier Wigg, aged 33, pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to a charge of stealing an overcoat valued at £2 10s. Sub-Inspector McCarthy said that accused was seen in a hotel bedroom preparing to take the coat away. Wigg was sentenced to two months' imprisonment.
