MUNICIPAL CONCERT

BAND AND QUARTETTE A charmingly varied programme of fine music will be rendered in the Town Hall to-morrow night by the Municipal Band, with vocal assistance by the Orpheus Quartette, and instrumental solos by Messrs. Fred Bowes and Hal C. McLennan. The rich tonal qualities of the band will be heard to good effect in Schubert’s overture, "Rosamunde,” and the First Movement to his Unfinished Symphony. Melodiousness, coupled with modern piquant harmonies, will characterise the four dances from “The Rebel Maid,” and all will be charmed with the beautiful melodies displayed in the selection “Shamrock.”
