PUKEKOHE FIRE BOARD

FIRE ALARM INSTALLATION The new fire alarm siren is due to | arrive, according to a report received | by the Fukekohe Fire Board at its j annual meeting yesterday. Mr. Joi n j Routly presided. Arrangements for the installation of the new alarm system were left in the hands of the chairman and Mr. H. M. Didsbury. It was reported that the brigade had received eight calls during the past quarter, two of which were false alarms. The board congratulated the brigade on its good work, and also cn its success in various competitions. Estimates for the coming financial year, showing a total expenditure ef over £ 600, were considered. It was pointed out that the board would probably complete tlie current financial year with, a credit balance of about £IOO, and its requirements for next year would therefore be in the vicinity of £SOO to £550.
