E. J. Lennox, a member of the Northcote Borough Council, was admitted to the hospital this morning suffering from a recurrence of war injuries. Pf. Ellison, Director-General of Maori Hygiene, is visiting the Waijtato. He will return to Wellington later in the week. At present he is staying: at the model pa of Princess Te Puea Herangi, at Ngaruawahia. Mr. Albert Spencer, president of the Auckland Employers’ Association, and Mr. S. E. Wright, secretary, left by train last evening for Wellington, where they are attending a conference of the \ e w Zealand Federation of Employers Mr. D. S. R. Munro of Auckland haa arrived in Palmerston North, to take up the position in the station - master’s office rendered vacant by the transfer of Mr. J. W. Fergie to Wellington. Mr. J- W. Williamson, Mayor of Takapuna, and Mr. A. Slinger, borough engineer, have returned from Wellington, where they have been interviewing the Loans Board in connection with the proposed loan poll. Mr. H. Herbert Smith, president of the New Zealand Justices of the Peace Federation, Mr. Alfred Williams, president of the Canterbury Federation, and Mr. J. Russell Brunt arrived in Auckland from Christchurch yesterday. They are to attend the conference ot the justices of the peace, which opens tiers on Wednesday. HOTEL REGISTER Grand. —Mr. E.
