COASTAL MOVEMENTS— The Torea is announced to sail from Auckland for Mercury Bay and Tairua at 4 p.m. to-day. The Clansman is to sail from Auckland for Russell, Opua, Whangaroa and Mangonui at 5 o’clock this afternoon. She is due to arrive back at this port at 7.30 a.m. on Friday next. The Rangitoto sailed for Thames at 11 o’clock this morning and is due to arrive back at Auckland at 8.30 p.m. tomorrow. The Waipu is to be dispatched for Kerepeehi at 9.30 p.m. to-day. She is due to arrive back at Auckland at midnight to-morrow. The Hauiti, which sailed for Coromandel and Colville at 10 a.m. to-day, is due to arrive back at Auckland at 11 o’clock to-morrow morning. The Kawau left Auckland for Kawau, Mullet Point and Matakana at 10 a.m. to-day. She is due to return to Auckland at 11 a.m. to-morrow. The Pono is to sail for* Mangapal, Parua Bay, One Tree Point and Waipu at 4 o’clock this afternoon. The Matangi is announced to sail for Tauranga at 7 o’clock this evening and is due to return to Auckland at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. The Waiuku sails for Surf dale, Ostend and Omiha at 9.30 a.m. to-morrow. She is expected back at Auckland at 6 o’clock on Wednesday evening. The Omana is announced to sail for Waiwera, Mahurangi and Warkworth at 9 a.m. to-morrow, and will return to this port to-morrow evening at 9.30. The Claymore is due to arrive at Auckland from Whangarei at 1.30 a.m. to-morrow. She will leave this port on her return trip at 7.30 p.m. the same day. The Richardson Line steamer Awahou is announced by the local agents, Messrs. Watkin and Wallace, to arrive at Auckland from Gisborne on Wednesday morning. The Richardson Line steamer Mako is due to arrive at Auckland from Napier, via East Coast bays, on Friday next. The Waimea, which arrived at Auckland yesterday from the East Coast, is to be dispatched again at four o’clock to-morrow afternoon for Gisborne, Napier and East Coast bays. The Kamona sailed from Greymouth at half-past six on Saturday evening for Westport and Atickland. The Katoa left Lyttelton at half-past four on Saturday afternoon last for Auckland. The vessel is due here tomorrow, and after discharge will proceed direct to Lyttelton, and then to Dunedin. The Kaporga is to be dispatched from Auckland at 10 o’clock this evening for Westport. The Wingatui left Wellington at 11 o’clock on Saturday evening for Auckland, via Picton. The vessel arrived at Picton at 8 a.m. yesterday and leaves again at 4 p.m. to-day, being due here on Thursday. The Kaimanawa arrived at Napier at seven o’clock yesterday morning. She is expected to sail again at noon to-mor-row for Auckland.
HURUNUI LEAVES LONDON. The jNTow Zealand. Shipping Company’s steamer Hurunui is also reported to have cleared London on Friday. The vessel has general merehandise for discharge at Auckland, Dunedin, and Bluff, and is due at Auckland on April 21. HI NEMO A AT NIUE.—The New Zealand Government steamer Hinemoa is expected to arrive at Niue Island to-day with passengers and cargo from Auckland. Spedding, Ltd., the local agents, advise that the Hinemoa is due hack at Auckland again on Tuesday week. March 27. * MIDDLESEX IN PORT.—From Soutlivia apier, the Federal steamer Middlesex arrived at Auckland at hall'past six yesterday morning, to complete loading for Home. The vessel berthed at Queen s Wharf, and on Thursday morning, the New Zealand Shipping Company hopes to dispatch the vessl finally for London and West Coast ports nf til*-' united Kingdom, via New York and BosPASSENGERS FROM HOME.—Due at Sj dney last Thursday by the Orient liner Oronsay- from London are the following passengers for New Zealand- Dr H. Tench, Mr. P. Woods. DEVON’S ALTERED ITINERARY.— The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Devon arrived at Wellington yesterday from Auckland, instead of first going to South Island ports. The vessel will subsequently proceed to Nelson, Picton, Lyttelton, and come back to Wellilngton to fill up, and will sa.il finally from the capital on April 5 for Montevideo, London, and Hull. PAKEHA FROM AUSTRALIA.—Cargo for discharge at Montevideo, as well as London, is to be loaded in New Zealand by the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company’s steamer Pakeha. which left Gladstone (Queensland) on Friday morning for .Auckland, The vessel is due here on Wednesday, to comm •nee loading wil subsequently load also at Opua, Timaru, Bluff, and Wellington. The Pakeha is due at Wellington on April 6, and will leave there on April 11 for Port Chalmers. She will sail finally from Port Chalmers on April 16 for Montevideo and London.
