Car Smash in Ponsonby. —A car travelling at a high speed down O'Neill Street. Ponsonby, shortly before midnight on Saturday, struck the right kerb of the street and one wheel collapsed. The car, which was wrecked, skidded some distance before coming to rest. A woman passenger was thrown out and lier head badly cut.
