CAR SOMERSAULTS

TWO MEN INJURED IN SERIOUS CONDITION (From, Our Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, To-day. Serious injuries were received on Saturday by Mr. Andrew Connor, of Puketurua, and Mr. Edward Heckt, of Mangatapu, when a motor-car driven by the former overturned and threw chem on to the road. The accident occurred when the car was turning on the Arapuni Road, about a mile from Putaruru. Mr. Connor was driving, and in addition to Mr. Heckt, the car had two other passengers, Mr. Herbert Barnett and a boy. The car became uncontrollable and ran into a wire fence, and turned two complete somersaults.. When picked up Messrs. Connor and Heckt were unconscious and were removed to the Rotorua Hospital in a serious condiMr. Barnett received severe shoulder injuries, and tlie boy was thrown clear without receiving injury. At latest advice Messrs. Connor and Heckt were still unconscious.
