PETROL TAX
METHOD OF DISTRIBUTION LEGISLATION WANTED Press Association. DUNEDIN, To-day. Mr. Ansell, president of the South Island Motor Union, has written to the Prime Minister, asking whether, since he has given an assurance that the petrol tax allocation will conform to the number of vehicles in each island, he will state definitely, before a meeting- .of the South Island Union on March 30, whether he will arrange during the coming session for legislation giving effect to this assurance.
