MR. WRIGHT TO VISIT AUCKLAND
MR. MCLEOD FOR FRANKLIN
The Minister of Education, the Hon. R. A. Wright, is expected to arrive from the South to-morrow morning. Before lunch the city members of the Education Board and members of the Ponsonby School Committee will urge as a deputation that a special allocation for the rebuilding of the Richmond Road School should be granted. The Hew Lynn School Committee will also l:ave a deputation to wait on the Minister. In the afternoon Mr. Wright will open the infant class rooms at Point Chevalier. On Monday he will open the new secondary department at Te Aroha and afterwards he will visit Paeroa, Waihi, Thames and the Bay of Plenty. Two other Ministers of the Crown, the Eon. A. 13. McLeod, Lands, and the Hon. K. S. Williams, Public Works, will arrive during the week-end to tour Pranklin and Raglan. On Monday they will drive to the Tamaki Bridge site, an'd though Whitford to Papakura. In the afternoon they will visit Hunua, Paparimu, Happy Valley, Bombay, Ramarama and Drury, returning to Papakura for the night. Tuesday will see them at Ivaraka, Patumahoe, Brown’s Gully, Glenbrook and Waiuku, where the party will have lunch. After visiting Awhitu Central, Pollok and Kohekohe, the Ministers will spend the night at Waiuku. Wednesday’s programme includes Otaua, Aka Aka, Puni, Papatoetoe, Buckland, Tuakau, Whangarata and New Brighton. At Mangatawhiri they will inspect the site of the proposed deviation of a stream to prevent flooding. Pokeno will be visited and the night will be spent at Pukekohe, where deputations will be received. A tour of Ralglan will be commenced on Thursday.
