Pupuke Club At the annual meeting of the Pupuke Golf Club, Mr. Mingay presiding over an attendance of 60 mmebers, the annual report showed a membership of 180 members, an increase of 66 on last year’s figures. The balance sheet showed a strong financial position, the club having assets totalling £4lB 6s 6d, with liabilities £172 7s Sd. The principal events last year were won by the following:—Championships:—Ladies: Miss G. McDonald; runner-up. Miss A. O’Neill. Men: I. G. Mackenzie; runner- up, A. M. Howden. In inter-club play, Pupuke held its own satisfactorily. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. F. H. MinSay; vice-presidents. Mrs. Atwood, Messrs. E. E. Grimwade, A. M. Ilowden, and S. R. Norris; club captain, Mr. B. Goldwater; committee, Mesdames Blomfield and Davidson, and Miss McDonald. and Messrs. J. E. Close, A. W. Clark, J. Howie, G. O. Stephenson and A. Reeve. It was decided to open the season with mixed foursomes on March 31. The Maungakiekie Club’s annual Maungakiekie Club meeting will be held on Friday next. The membership has increased to Course improvements have been speeded up. Titirangi having been entirely changed. Several improvements have been made at One Tree Hill, where the course has never been in better order. The balance sheet showed a credit °f £429, in spite of considerable increases in labour, upkeep and rent. Subscriptions last vear totalled £3,433, Sreen fees £4ll, and entrance fees £575.
