COASTAL MOVEMENTS— The Wingatui sailed from Timaru at half-past two yesterday afternoon for Wellington, Picton and Auckland. The vessel is due here about the middle of next ' V The Katoa sails from Lyttelton to-mor-row afternoon for Auckland direct. The Kartigi moved from Chelsea to Queen’s Wharf yesterday evening, and sailed for Portland, Wellington and Lyttelton last night. The Northern Company advises that the usual Monday trips to Waiheke will in future be cancelled. The Waiuku has been making these trips each week in the past. The Northern Company advises that heavy weather was experienced on the East Coast yesterday. As a result the scows Toa, Otimai and TLihoe were unable to work either Opotiki or Whakatane. It is hoped to continue cargo operations today. The Taniwha, which will leave for Paeroa this evening with passengers for the Ohinemuri races, will take no cargo. This will go by the schooner Motu this afternoon. The Taniwha will leave again for Paeroa on Sunday. The Waiuku is announced to sail from Auckland for Surfdale, Ostend and Omiha at 6.30 p.m. to-day. She is due back at this port at 9 a.m. to-morrow. The Matangi leaves for Tauranga at 7 o’clock this evening and is expected back at Auckland on Sunday morning. The Taniwha sails for Paeroa at 6 o’clock this evening- and is due to arrive back at Auckland at midnight to-morrow. The Apanui was dispatched for Houhora, Kaimaumau, Parenga and Totara North at noon to-day. The Kawau sails for Kawau, Leigh and Mangawai at 6 p.m. to-day. She is expected to arrive back at this port at 10.30 p.m. to-morrow. The Rangitoto is expected to arrive at Auckland from Thames at 5.30 p.m. today. She will sail again for Thames at 11 o’clock on Monday morning. The Hauiti is due to arrive at Auckland form Coromandel at 7 p.m. to-day. The Claymore is due to arrive at this port from Whangarei at midnight tonight. She is announced to sail on her return trip to the Northern port at 6 o’clock on Sunday evening. The Omana is due to arrive from Waiwera. Mahurangi Heads and Warkworth at 6.30 p.m. to-day. The Waipu is expected to arrive at Auckland from Kerepeehi at 8 o’clock tomorrow morning.
