Woodfull and Oldfield stood out of the visiting team. Orr faced Alorton, and McNamee was the other bowler. The batsmen opened tamely, the first 10 taking 20 minutes. Grimmett then replaced McNamee, and at 22 Oxenham replaced Morton. The score at 12.15 was no wickets for 28 runs. After Orr’s departure disaster befell Wanganui, Grimmett proving deadly. At luncheon the score was Wanganui eight for 64. Grimmett has taken seven wickets for 3 5 runs.
