ON THE ’CHANGE
MARKET IN GOOD TONE WAIPA COALS EASIER Greater activity is registered on ’Change, with increased business to record. Banks and insurances remain in good tone, and quotations are mostly steady at late rates. Australian Provincial Assurance script is receiving greater attention, and sellers to-day -sked 12s 6d, with buyers offering 8s 6d. In coals, Waipas are slightly weaker and a sale yesterday afternoon at 16s lOd saw buyers withdraw, and .'-oilers this morning at 17s were unsupported. The miscellaneous section is in better tone, with the demand more widespread. In the gilt-edged section, 1933 and 1936 bonds and stocks are slightly weaker.
