CORRECTING CONSTABLES
“REFORMER” ARRESTED REMANDED FOR OBSERVATION A man aged 30, who had behaved in disorderly manner in Queen Street early this morning, was arrested and brought to the Police Court. He was charged with being idle and disorderly. “Plow do you plead?” asked the clerk. “Guilty of correcting other constables in the street, and trying to make the city clean and respectable, as it should be,” replied accused. “Oh, is that so?” said the magistrate in surprise. “You’re remanded for medical observation.”
