GRAFTON AMATEURS
ANNUAL MEETING HELD FIVE PLAYS THIS SEASON The Grafton Shakespeare and Dramatic Society, an enterprising band of amateurs which has produced some of the more modern and stimulating plays, held its annual meeting on Tuesday evening. It was reported that the club proposed to produce five new plays this coming season, in addition to holding usual club evenings. An increase in club membership had compensated for the increased expediture. with the result that the finances were in a healthy state. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: President, Mr. W. J. Kealey; committee, Mrs. F. Turner, Miss M. Gaudin, Messrs A. V. Penn, A. O. Horspool, E. Blair and S. M. Yallop; hon. sec., Miss C. L. Chambers; assistants Misses R. Kidson and N. Lush. At the conclusion of the meeting the younger members of the club provided an enjoyable supper.
