TRAFFIC PROBLEMS
METROPOLITAN CONTROL FAVOURED CHAMBER OF COMMERCE VIEW “The traffic control of Auckland should be in the hands of all the local bodies and not restricted to the City Council.” This is the view of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce on the traffic problem, and it was expressed by the chairman of the council, Mr. H. T. Merritt, to-day. The desirability of this metropolitan control is to be urged on the Transport Commission which will sit in Auckland after Easter. Evidence will be given by Mr. A. G. Lunn and Dr. E. P. Neale.
