CAN ADI AX M.P. HURT. —General A. D. Mcßae, Conservative member for Vancouver North, was injured in a fall on his way home from Parliament. He was removed to hospital, where an X-ray examination showed a serious fracture of the skull. His condition, however, is not critical.—A. and X.Z. COMMISSION’S EXPENSES.—The Legislative Assembly of All India rejected a measure to grant the expenses of the Sir John Simon Commission, by 65 votes to 59. The Viceroy will undoubtedly certify the grant as essential, and the work of the Commission will proceed unchecked.—A. and N.Z. False Fire Alarm.—Two fire engines dashed out when a call was received from the Maunganui at Queen’s Wharf at noon to-day. The police promptly closed the gates and kept back a curious crowd. The alarm was found to be false.
