LON'DON', Tuesday

nAGEAXTKY tmequalled * during their European tour greeted the King and Queen of Afghanistan on their arrival in London. The Royal train arrived to a second at Victoria Station, which was decorated for the occasion.

King Amanullah King George, in Field-Mar- H.M. the King shal’s uniform, stepped up to tlie carriage as it came to a standstill. King Amanullah, in a striking uniform of scarlet, lightblue and silver laee, with a black and red busby, smiled instantly. The reception pleased him greatly.

An interpreter approached at a given - sign and the two Kings shook hands. King George presented Queen Mary, and King Amanullah saluted her with a sweeping bow and kissed her hand. He then presented his own Queen, who was attired in a Paris gown of the latest fashion, under a mink coat. She wore a small cloche hat. As Queen Souriya shook hands with the King, Princes, Ministers and soldiers, she was obviously nervous, but Queen Mary approached and began to talk with her with an obvious sense of friendship. The two Queens stood together while the Kings inspected the guard of honour. They entered the State coaches, the two Kings first, and their Queens second, and proceeded to Buckingham Palace, along decorated streets thronged with people.
