The latter weighed in at 1911 b and Risko at 193X1b. When the men entered the ring the bout started slowly, but Risko quickly began a slashing two-handed attack, which won him the first round. After that Sharkey out-boxed him and severely punished him, taking the next four rounds. By the simple expedient of letting his opponent run into his punches Risko took the sixth. The Cleveland man also took the next four rounds. Both men were hitting low. Sharkey delivered several furious uppercuts and Risko frequently doubled up his opponent with vicious body blows. Wjth a determined attack Sharkey took the 11th and 12th rounds. Risko won the next. The fourteenth v/as even, but in the 15th Risko opened a tremendous attack and hit his opponent round the ring.
