WEST NIVARIA SAILED—In continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports, the American steamer West Nivaria sailed from Auckland yesterday afternoon for Wellington and Lyttelton. BRITISH IMPERIAL OIL COMPANY.— The British Imperial Oil Co., Ltd., report that the name of the firm in Australia has been changed, and the concern will be known in the future as the Shell Co. of Australia, Ltd. TANKER OLIVA REPORTS.—Wireless advice from the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company’s tanker Oliva states that she will reach Auckland fx’om San Pedro at daybreak next Sunday. The vessel has bulk oil, of which a quantity will be unloaded at Western Wharf. MATAROA’S SAILING POSTPONED. — Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Company are in receipt of advice stating that the departure of the Sbaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mataroa from Wellington for Southampton and London via Panama, has been postponed from Saturday till daybreak on Sunday next. WAITEMATA POSTPONED. —The local office of the Union Company advises that the departure of the trans-Pacific cargo steamer, Waitemata, from Auckland for Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney, has been postponed till noon to-morrow. The vessel arrived at Auckland on Monday morning from Pacific coast ports. WINGATUI OMITS LYTTELTON. — The Union Company advises that the Wingatui which sailed from Oamaru at 10 o’clock last evening, will now omit her call at Lyttelton on the northward trip, proceeding from Timaru to Wellington direct and thence to Picton and Auckland. TOFUA AT SUVA.—The Union Company is in receipt of cable advice stating that the Island passenger steamer, Tofua, arrived at Suva at three o’clock yesterday morning from Samoa. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel from the Fijian port at four o’clock to-morrow afternoon for Auckland where she is due on Monday next. PIAKO DUE THIS EVENING.—The New Zealand Shipping Company is in receipt of a further radio report from the Piako, stating that the vessel will arrive at Auckland at 11 o’clock this evening from New York. The vessel will berth to-morrow morning at Prince’s Wharf and complete the discharge of her general cargo at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. ROTORUA SAILING. —The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua did not sail from Auckland last evening, as was expected. She is to got away at 4 o’clock this afternoon for Napier, to continue loading, thence to Lyttelton and W'ellinglon. She is to sail with passengers, mails and cargo from the capital on March 31 for Southampton and London, via Panama. MIDDLESEX ON FRIDAY.—The Napier office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that endeavours are being made to dispatch the Federal steamer Middlesex from there this evening or to-morrow morning for Auckland for final loading. Thfe vessel is due here on Friday, and on Monday next is to be dispatched for London, via New York and Halifax. She will berth at Queen’s Wharf. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Union Company’s inter-colonial passenger steamer, Marama, berthed at Wellington at half-past nine yesterday morning to land passengers, mails and cargo from Sydney. The vessel is scheduled to sail on the return trip to Australia at four o’clock on Friday afternoon next. At three o’clock the same afternoon, the Maunganui is to leave Auckland on the return trip to Sydney. RUAPEHU’S ITINERARY.—The New Zealand Shipping Company reports that its liner Ruapehu was to leave Dunedin yesterday for New Plymouth, to complete discharge, and to commence loading. The vessel will subsequently load also at Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on March 31, and is to sail finally from that port on April 3 for Southampton and London, via Panama Canal. NEW S.S. AND A. MOTOR-SHIP. — : Cable advice received by Dalgety and Co.. ’ Ltd., states that the new Shaw, Savill ' and Albion motor-ship, which was to be called Canberric, is now to be named > Coptic. There used to be a steamer by ■ the name of Coptic, a regular trader to : New Zealand, and that no doubt explains • why the new motor-ship has taken that 1 name. Her Australian trip will commence • on June 23.. when she will leave Liverpool for New Zealand ports. L FOR OHINEMURI RACES.—After her > arrival at Auckland from Paeroa at 8.30 L p.m. to-day, the Northern Company’s . steamer Taniwha will be engaged in a . passenger service for the Ohinemuri race l meeting. For this purpose she is announced to sail from Auckland for Kopu l on Friday next at 6 p.m. and on the fol--1 lowing Sunday at 7 p.m. For her retui’n trips to Auckland she will leave t Kopu after the arrival of the race train ■ from Paeroa cn both Saturday evening and Monday evening. r PORT BOWEN DUE TO-NIGHT.— . Having left New Plymouth at half-past one yesterday afternoon, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer.
