CHINESE BRING NEW TOILET FAD “Back-scratching has arrived in Sydney. It is being practised even outside political circles. Nor is this the back scratching of undue compliments. The very fact that you can scratch your own back with a back-scratcher for 9d is in itself an irresistible pleasure. Imported from China, these backscratchers are simplicty itself. Just the bent fingers of the human hand carved in bamboo at the end of a bamboo cane. The dames of olden times insisted on ivory, but Sydney is banking on its bamboo
