AIR TRAGEDY IN KENYA By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. i Reed. 10 a.m. LONDON, Tues. i According to a message from Nairobi, in Kenya Colony, East Africa, Lady Carbery, the wife of the Irish peer, was killed when the airplane in which she w r as giving an instructional flight crashed in the presence of Lord Carbery. The pupil was also killed. Lady Carbery’s machine developed a spin. She jumped out but w r as killed instantly. Lord Carbery was one of the first to reach the wrrecked | machine. Lady Carbery was only 22 * years of age.—A. and N.Z. Maia Ivy, Lady Carbery, was the j daughter of Alfred Anderson, of Nairobi, • Kenya. She married John Evans-Freke, , 10th Baron Carbery, in 1922, at the age j of 16. She was his second wife.
