BIRTHDAY PARTY
Mrs. Bateman, of Otahuhu, gave a delightful children’s party at her home on Saturday afternoon in honour of the fourth birthday of her 'ittle son Ronald. The gardens and lawns were looking brilliant after their recent bath ; in raindrops, and made an ideal set- ! ting for the hilarious games and treasure hunts that were arranged for ] the children. Fancy dancing helped to make the - party the success it was and was im- 1 mensely enjoyed by all the tiny • guests. i In the house the rooms were gaily decorated with large pink lilies, asters f and chrysanthemums, with streamers i and balloons adding their joyous col- : ours to the scheme. Mrs. Bateman, who was assisted to receive the guests by her mother, Mrs. Green, wore a smart frock of rose 1 lustre crepe de chine with a crinoline hat to tone. Among those nresent were:—Misses Joyce Harvey, Gwen Ellery, Shirley Martin-Sheath, Molly and Blanche Whitelaw, Phyllis, Gladys and Alsia Duffin, Masters Bernice Farrelly, Jack Hutt, Frank and Gordon McArthur, Arthur Martin-Sheath.
