PENWOMEN’S LEAGUE

DRAMATIC ENTERTAINMENT The members of the dramatic section of the New Zealand League of Penwomen met for the first time this year last evening, when an entertaining dramatic programme was enjoyed. Two plays were read by the members, the first being “A Night at an Inn,” by Lord Dunsany, and the second, “Campbell of Kilmhor,” by J. A. Ferguson. An interesting paper on Lord Dunsany’s life was read by Mrs. Schmitt. Those who took part in the reading of his play were Mrs. Schmitt, Mrs. Arthur Griffiths, Mrs. Carr Tibbitts, Miss Spurling and Miss Sweet. “Campbell of Kilmhor” was expressively read by Mrs. Nello Porter, Mrs. Arthur Griffiths, Mrs. Barr, Mrs. ! Carr Tibbitts, Miss D. Griffiths, Miss j Sweet and Miss Robinson. Mrs. Nello Porter presided over the meeting.
