F. j Nelsofl, of Samoa, has I been a guest at the Hotel j Cargen In Auckland, dame j rumour—ever a lying jade— j had declared that the de- | ported legislator was in \ Mount Eden gaol! This latest rumour is commented upon by the “Samoa Guardian,”- ■ which says: j “Whilst' to Europeans there | is a humorous .side to these | idle statements, to the native j mind such reports are likely I to do much harm.” Mr. Nelson will be a pas- j senger by the Maunganui for 1 Sydney on Friday.
