The extent to which German shipping shared in the general prosperity of the country during the last two years is shown in the North German Lloyd Company’s report. This states that whereas the net profit in 1925 was £2.900, it increased in 1926 to £400,000 and in 1927 to £550,000. An 8 per rent, dividend lias been declared.—A. and N.Z.
