PONSONBY LEAGUERS

CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING

Over 80 members were present at the annual meeting of the Ponsonby United Football Club, held in the Leys Institute last evening. The club president, Mr. A. H. McKeown, presided. Tlio chief business for the evening was the adoption of the report and balance sheet and the election of officers for the ensuing year.

According to the balance sheet, last season had been a heavy one from a financial point of view, owing mainly to the fact that there had been a big expenditure for injured players. The total assets, however, amounted to £455, while there were no liabilities.

Election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Mr. B. Sanford; president, Mr. A. H. McKeown; vice-presi-dents, last year’s list of 40 were reelected with additions of Messrs. Russell, McLaughlin, Rae; delegate to Auckland League, Mr. B. Longbottom; delegate to Junior Management Committee, Mr. R. Short; secretary, Mr. O. Poison; treasurer, Mr. E. C. McEwan; committee, Messrs. N. Culpan, A. Black, T. Boswell, W. Winter, J. Armstrong, W. Henderson, J. Taylor, C. Stanley, J. Avery; sole selector, Mr. B. Longbottom.
