Beale, British Trade Commissioner to New Zealand, is interviewing many London manufacturers for the purpose of explaining the advantages of the new tariff preferences granted by New Zealand, which he believes to be the most favourable outside Britain. He is pointing out the advantages of establishing branch factories in New Zealand, where, he says, materials and labour are very favourable to industrial development owing to the co-operation of the agricultural, pastoral and dairying industries.
