The conference will consider the scheme which has been put forward for the allocation of the subsidy granted by the Government. The allocation of the Government subsidy will be finalised at a meeting (of the board set up by the Government) in Wellington on March 23, at which Mr. Dynes Fulton will be the delegate for the Northern Wairoa Herd-Testing Association. * * * Under the auspices of the Auckland Automobile Association and through the courtesy of a number of local motorists, 16 members of the Old Men’s Home were treated to an enjoyable outing this week. Returning home through Dargaville, the party was treated to afternoon tea and refreshments at the residence of Mr. F. J. Dargaville. Mr. Dargaville was thanked for his hospitality, and, in replying, stated that he was only too pleased to be able to assist and hoped that the event would become an annual one.
