SETTLING A DISPUTE

DEFENDANT ADVISED TO BE A MAN BATTLEFIELD ARGUMENT Press' Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. Len William Lorgally, aged 34, was to-day fined £3, in default 14 days, on a charge of striking William Thom, in High Street. The chief-detective said that defendant gave no reason for the blow other than that there had been a dispute on the battlefields of France, and that Lorgally was apparently still carrying a grudge. The magistrate told defendant to be a man and get over it.
