DURING the 24 hours ended at 7 a.m. to-day the city water dams in the Wai* takeres gained 202,000,000
gallons, making a total gain , of 225,000,000 gallons for the period of rain. Water is still | rushing in. The probability is that all restrictions will be lifted after the Waterworks Committee considers the: position at a special meeting to-mor- | row. The Nihotupu auxiliary | cam, 70,000,000 gallons, was i overflowing this morning, j Waitakere had gained lift. 7Jin., and Nihotupu main dam 10ft. Both the big dams
continue to gain. Since Sunday the rainfall j at Waitakere has been 8 points under 4 inches. No slips or other mishaps J have eventuated.
