OPEN AFTER HOURS
SALOON KEEPER FINED Press Association. STRATFORD, To-day. At the Magistrate’s Court. Heaton Clyde Burgess, manager of a billiard saloon, was fined £7 10s for keeping his saloon open when required by law to be closed. A constable visited the saloon at 2.30 o’clock on a recent Sunday morning and found two men on the premises. On a charge of permitting a game of cards he was convicted without penalty.
