IN consequence of the visit of Heinrich Langkopp. a demented ex-soldier, who held up the Vice-President of the Wir Claims Department on Friday with a revolver and box of explosives, demanding settlement of his claims, a large number of threatening letters has been received from other dissatisfied ex-soldiers, and the authorities, becoming alarmed, have closed the whole building. —A. and N.Z.
