France and Spain have arrived at an agreement respecting Tangier, which will shorter be submitted to other interested parties. According to a message from Madrid the Spanish Government has issued a statement to the Press regarding the Franco-Spanish agreement, which modifies the statute penal code with a view to preventing Tangier becoming a centre for contraband arms and disaffection, leading to armed aggression against Spain.
