Standen won the hajf-mile championship in lm 6 B-ss, the mile championship in 2m 2* 4-ss, and the three miles championI ship in 7m 34 l-ss. T. Oakley was I second in each event. Oakley, how-
ever, substantiated his claim as the best unpaced grass track rider, in winning the two miles invitation pursuit race from Standen by a margin of 100yds. Oakley’s time was 4m 35 2-ss, and Standen’s was 4m 41 l-ss. Gane and Scarfe. both of Wellington, were other competitors in the pursuit event. NELSON, Sunday. At the Amateur Athletic Cycling Club’s sports yesterday Gray /'Australia) won the three miles and onemile handicaps. His times were 7m 38 2-5 s and 2m 17 3-ss.
