Discussing Mr. Bert Hinkler’s recent flight to Australia in a lecture at the Deeds University Sir William SeftonBrancker, Director of Civil Aviation, said that when night flying was made possible by better aircraft, he believed that we would reduce the journey to Australia to 179 hours. This, perhaps, would be accomplished within five years.—A. and N.Z.
