MOTORIST FACES CHARGE INTOXICATION AND NEGLIGENCE Press Association. HAWERA, Saturday. George Cravey Smith, who was remanded last week on charges of being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car and with negligent driving, thereby causing injury to a farmer’s wife. Millicent Elizabeth Richter, was further charged to-day with causing the death of Mrs Richter, who died in hospital on February 25, following her being discovered unconscious on the roadway Dear Mokoia, the previous evening, with accused’s car standing nearby. Accused was remanded by the justice to appear before the magistrate next week.
