CANDY WORKERS’ OUTING

The staff of Heard’s Candy Factory, Parnell, held their annual picnic at Brown’s Island on Saturday in glorious weather. The big athletic event of the day, Heard’s handicap, was won by P. Gordine. •A fitting close to the day was the distribution of prizes by Mrs. Heard. A heartjr vote of thanks was accorded Mr. L. King, secretary, and to the committee for their excellent arrangements.
