MAORI MOTORIST

FINED AT OTAHUHU Following a motor collision at Papatoetoe last evening, Awa George Randell, a Maori, aged 34 years, of Pukekohe, was charged at the Otahuhu Police Court this morning, before Messrs. J. Atkinson and R. U. Todd, J.P.’s, with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. Mr. R. W. F. Wood represented accused, who pleaded guilty and consented, after demur, to a prohibition order being Issued against him. His licence was cancelled for 12 months, and he was fined £3 and allowed one month in -which to pay. in default, seven days’ imprisonment.
