MINISTER CHALLENGED

MR. RANSOM’S GAUNTLET Press Association. DANNEVIRKE. To-day. Mr. E. A. Ransom, M.P., in further reply to the Minister of Lands, the Hon. A. D. McLeod, respecting farmers' proposals of loans to enable farmers to engage unemployed, quotes a reply by the Hon. W. Downie Stewart to his question in the House, and alleged that Mr. McLeod in conversation agreed therewith, thus establishing Mr. Ransom’s argument that his proposal was inclined to be too popular. Mr. Ransom challenges the Minister to meet him on a public platform anywhere, provided he gives him a week’s notice.
