A SUCCESSFUL MEETING (From Our Own CorrespondentJ TAUMARUNUI, Monday. Beautifully fine weather prevailed for the annual Ongarue sports, and the meeting was most successful. Mr. J. C. Rolleston, M,P. for Waitomo, was to have been present, but a telegram was received early in the day expressing his regret at being unable to attend. Mr. R. W. Smith, M.P. for Waimariuo, was present in the afternoon, and at the conclusion of the gathering presented the various trophies secured by competitors in the course of the day.
