CHURCH TAKES HAND IN NAVAL LIMITATION

The Committee of the Federal Council of Churches has urged the President, Mr. Coolidge, to aid in restricting the naval programmes of world Powers. Dr. McFarland, the council’s general secretary, said that the council deprecated the American programme since it jeopardised the United States proposals for peace, and cost too much. —A. and N.Z.
